DXF export used to work?

Haven't used this in a year or so-- but it used to work just fine. Tried to do an export this morning and nothing can open the file. Pawed through some threads and this seemed a common issue. What's the fix?

Even better-- when i tried to include the file with its dxf extension to this post, even this forum says its not a dxf.

I tried it as a .txt and still wouldn't attach.

Pretty frustrating...

"The attachment's l kid o locator v3- locator 2pt2mmoffset.dxf content type (application/x-dxf) does not match its file extension and has been removed."

ZIP the DXF file and attach. Don't know why they can't fix the forum to allow generic CAD files, comes up quite often.

Zipped dxf attached.

Including a screen shot also. It's a simple file. It's an imported dxf into fusion (set of points/spline), with an offset.

I did this a year ago with no issues. Feels like something broke in fusion. I don't remember it using the cloud to export before-- but maybe my memory is off. Either way-- i'll work through my other CAD programs for now-- but would love to figure out why this isn't working. Maybe i'll try exporting some other files to see how that goes. Maybe i'm just doing it wrong

Yup, seems to be pilot error.

I had been going through the file-> export.

When i right clicked on the sketch i wanted to export and did it that way, it worked fine.

Sorry for false alarm.

Hi,

1. if you need the DXF of a sketch externally, go to Browser > Sketch > right click > save as DXF
2. for the attachment in the forum the DXF must be packed in a ZIP.

JFYI I had no problem opening the first DXF file you attached in Rhino.
