DWG files

Hi, I am currently having some problems viewing DWG files.

When drawing in AutoCAD, there are colored lines and some dotted lines, and text measurements that I need to be visible in fusion 360 to be able to read the drawing correctly and to be able to start with the cam work. is there some way to make this happen? are there any other types of files that would be better? or are there any specific changes in export from AutoCAD we can try? this is AutoCAD 2009 btw. but the latest fusion 360

also, when I opened the dwg in fusion, it was 10x larger... yes, everything is in mm

If AutoCAD drawings have their entities on different layers, each layer can create a separate sketch if the AutoCAD drawing is saved as a DXF and then inserted into Fusion 360.  There is one issue with this method.  Even if you have AutoCAD text on a separate layer, it will not be be seen by Fusion 360 unless it is Exploded before you save the DXF in AutoCAD.  Video will show process.

Thank you for the video! I will definitely try this tomorrow!

But do you have a solution for the colors and dotted lines?

You will have to isolate to layers is AutoCAD all the entities of a certain color and linetype.  Fusion 360 does not support linetypes or colors in sketches.  So If you have good layer structure in your AutoCAD drawing, you will get what you want.  AutoCAD can make quick work of dividing your drawing up into layers if you did not use them originally.
