Driven dimension error, and closed profile error

Hi,

Please enter the sketch "Ribs" located under "master sketches"

Problem #1: There is a tendency to have small distances between line terminations that allege to be constrained, but are not, then profile lights up in a larger "leaking" area.  If you free and drag the vertical 1.713" dimensioned lines at the left, then you will also see the skeleton of black lines move, but they should be constrained.

Problem #2  It also shows a 1.713" dimension as a driven dimension, yet it is a free line set.

Let me know, thanks!

See sketch 3 for a much simpler fully defined sketch and resultant body.

If this happens the lines are fully constrained but not coincident with black curved line.

I slide the yellow short line.

If you replace the driven dimension, a seems to fix itself.  At least the profiles are behaving.

Happens in busy sketches.

Might help....

WMhaz, that is a helpful approach with thin extrude, it does solve this problem.

Dave, I did get some improvement by restarting the program, but, I do tend to prefer complex and 'master' sketches that are accessed by a plurality of parts, I realize Fusion is stronger in working with models than in complex sketches, it is room for improvement when they get a chance to.

There is a re-occuring theme in my work where I see constraint color not represent actual constraint of lines.

Thanks

I thought of mentioning Thin Extrude as well but doesn’t work so well on angles for the inside outside line.  Not sure how you maintain the Offset with trimmed corners.  All the same the rib sketch is overwhelming the solver.  Hopefully that was the last item to be added.

Might help....
