Drawing from animation view - shading incorrect

I have an issue when using a model in a drawing. When selecting the "shaded" style option, it shows the correct outlines but the shading/color fills for some components (not all) is in the wrong place. The preview before clicking "close" on the options windows almost always shows parts in random orientation, but they tend to snap to the correct place when closing the box. Sometimes, like with the problem outlined here, they stay in the wrong place.

The drawing view comes from an animation view in the model file. Sometimes various things force the components into place, like suppressing and unsuppressing the offending components, but most of the time these "fixes" do nothing at all. The problem persists after closing and reopening the drawing file, restarting Fusion 360, clearing Fusion's cache, and deleting and replacing the view in the drawing file.

I have attached screen captures of the drawing issue and the animation view it comes from. You can clearly see in the upper left a component in the wrong place and orientation. I should also mention this is not the only model/drawing files this happens in, I have a dozen others with the same issue. Any ideas how to get these shaded views working as expected?

Hi @swmand4

Do you have any hidden components (that you have turned of the visibility) in the design tree in the animation workspace? Do you have any yellow/red markers in the design workspace in the timeline history?

Can you perhaps share the design so that we can check on our own? If the design is under NDA or you feel sensitive about it, you can send the file directly under messages.

No hidden components in either the design or animation view, no warnings or errors in the design timeline history. I should also mention that the bad shading shows up in PDF export as well.

I will PM you the design files.

@sutherland-

Did you get my direct message with the shared design files?

will this ever be resolved? I run into this constantly and its very frustrating to hunt for some way to get the drawings to appear correctly.
