Drawing base view source undirected change

Anonymous
Not applicable

I finished a drawing last night referencing an assembly called compressor backpack, a subassembly within that is called Daikin Inverter but the base view for the drawing has always referenced the top level assembly.  When I opened it this morning the default page opened to where I finished last night but I noticed that the base view had changed to the inverter (picture 1).  after clicking through the pages of the drawing I confirmed that it had all changed somehow and going back to the default page all of my views had changed (Picture 2).  I messed with it a little trying to switch the base view source back but eventually abandoned it and and just loaded the version from before which was still correctly sourcing the compressor backpack and am going to start redoing the work I did last night as v7 (picture 3).

Has anyone else run into this problem and fixed it? These views are what I had saved originally but you can see that the base view source is now reading Daikin inverterThese views are what I had saved originally but you can see that the base view source is now reading Daikin inverterafter refreshing the page the views changed to the actual inverterafter refreshing the page the views changed to the actual inverterScreenshot 2021-12-03 095058.png

Hello @Anonymous

Thank you posting the issue. From the images it look like an issue with references which is mentioned in this post. But, it will be difficult to confirm without the dataset. Can you please share the dataset with us? Here's my official email id rohit.bapat@autodesk.com

This way we can try reproducing the issue and get to the bottom of it.

I have had the same issue in 3 assembly drawings in the past 2 days. The drawing takes a linked subassembly and it replaces the larger assembly as design file. As long as I don't refresh the file the larger assembly stays in the screen. The subassembly replaces the larger assembly as soon as I refresh, similar to the images of Sophie. I am looking forward to hear the solution to this problem.

Hi @jasper.vanlaarhoven & @Anonymous

The team has identified the root cause of this issue and have released a hotfix. It should be live today, once you update Fusion 360 to the latest build this issue should be resolved.

Please let me know how you get on.
