Drag to Trim trims wrong segments of line

I'm trying to trim like I can in AutoCAD LT but whenever I attempt to drag trim, it trims other parts of the line I drag across. This can be seen in the screencast. I would rather not have to click to trim each little line and everything I find about trimming online seems to say that it works similarly to LT, in that it trims the segment of line dragged across rather than whatever is occurring here. This leads me to believe something is wrong with the program or its settings. Could anyone help me out here?

Thanks this is known and logged as a bug. It's supposed to work as you expect, and it had up until recently.
