I have the free version of fusion 360 to draw SVG files for my shaper origin hand held Cnc machine .I  Down loaded a file “92 scroll saw shelf brackets” from craftsmanspace web site and it was save as a file on my version . The program goes  unresponsive when I try to copy the one bracket  I’m interested in to paste to separate drawing

it is likely that this SVG contains a large number of entities.  It is probably overwhelming the sketch environment.  Can you share the SVG here?

OK, that explains it.  This is the SVG:

This svg has thousands of curves in it, if not more.  This will not work well in Fusion.  If there is one of these that you wish to use, you would be much better off editing this SVG in a dedicated editor such as Inkscape, and cut out only the one that you want, and save it as a separate SVG.  This SVG as it is will be unusable in Fusion.

The Shaper Origin machine only reads svg.
I get as far as window selecting the one I want and thats when everything stops working.

I have downloaded the dwg file to turbo cad( which I do know how to use) separated the one I want but am unable to” insert “

I would just open the SVG in an editor of some kind and delete everything but the one you want.  I found one called Boxy-svg (https://boxy-svg.com/ ) that was pretty easy to use.  I didn't bother to register, so could not save, but it was easy to isolate just one of those profiles.  Still seems like the easiest way to get this to work, IMO

Hello again
I have drawn the bracket I want from scratch and want to resize and move things.
I select press shift and keep selecting until the object or outline I want is highlighted. Click the move button but it either doesn't move or all lines curves adjacent also move.
Is there a video or tutorial on this you can recommend

Fusion help and reference material is available from the menus - top right near your account details.  YouTube would have too many to isolate.

Move Tool, and Sketch / Modelling Scale Tools, may be of benefit.

If window select, and Move tool is not working, we will need to access your data to suggest - why.

Might help....

if you can share your current design, and maybe a video of what you are trying to do, we can likely help.  Possibly, a point was snapped to the origin, and so cannot move, but it's hard to say without the design.

here is one way:  how to share a public link .  You can also export it as F3D or F3D how to make a local archive and attach it here.  The second is a bit easier for us to consume, but either is OK

I give up. Now the sketch won’t open on my home computer. Operation fail is the pop up.
I drew the sketch of a computer at my office.saved it. Suspend service as prompted on home computer and the file will not open?

Hi,

If you have a single isolated symbol in SVG you can attach it here.
Then we can check the insertion process in Fusion.

Share this way:

File > export > save as f3d on local device  > attach it to the next post.

It's OK that the model shows as "empty" in Fusion Team.  You get that message if your model contains only a sketch (that error is very misleading...).  However, you do need to mark the "allow download" box so that we can download it.  Thanks.
