Download problem

I would like to convert a step file into a sldprt file.

When I upload te step file into the cloud and than try to download it I do not get the option to make it a sldprt file.

I even get no option at all. The file just starts downloading straight away.

When I check the thutorials it shows me that there should be options.

Why don't I get the options to change the file type?

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

I believe you are uploading the file to the Data Panel within Fusion 360, correct? If so, this automatically translates the part to a Fusion design so that you can immediately start working on the project. If you navigate to A360 (which is where the cloud data is stored and what the data panel is connected to) -  you can upload your STEP file here and it will not translate.

With that being said - there is no download option that we offer for .sldprt.

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous,

I guess I am a little confused. Does the drop down not show up for you? Whereas it does for another person? Can you try using a different internet browser? Does that clear the issue up?

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous,

Sorry for the delay. One thing I can think of - if you open an incognito browser (or private browsing window) and use a Shared Public link to download, do you see the options?

Does this happen to all files that you try to download?
