Anyone experience this issue when working in complex scene the history marker will suddenly vanish? The only way to change history after is to right click and select 'roll history marker here'

my history marker is also disappearing. the only way to reestablish it is to save and reboot model.

Glad I'm not alone. Been having this issue so frequently and for so long, little surprised it hasn't been addressed yet.

I'm also having this issue but only recently. When I first open a design the slider is there, but as soon as I activate a subcomponent it disappears and won't come back with any of the remedies I've found in other posts ( opening and closing data panel, jiggling scroll bar, opening full screen and closing etc. ) I thought maybe my design history was too long, but in other models it's happening too. This is very recent- only started happening tonight.

We have a fix for this, we are now verifying that fix, and will deliver it in an update as soon as we have verified that it's good.

thanks for addressing this issue. As a daily user, i fear updates. It seems every update destroys an aspect of the software. i cannot stress enough the need for predictable software. I've been a "cad monkey" for many years. I am familiar with updates changing workflow.  In the past SoildWorks updates were also met with apprehension.  The great thing with your competition is these updates are only once a year and basic funtionality is not hampered.

Hi all,

I'm still experiencing this as of today.  I have to keep right clicking and set history marker.  Dragging the history marker is still broken for me.  I'm using v 2.0.5827 on Windows 10.  I can regain functionality if I close and reload models, however its becoming a PIA.  I haven't noticed the disappearing marker as of late though.

For me as well. No remedies except closing the design and reopening seems to fix it.

Same problem. Can we please get an update from the developers.

I also just hit this issue again.  It's a huge pain to reload given the large file size and hundreds of subcomponents.  It doesn't load quickly.

Here is a thread that a lead fusion employee responded to https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/timeline-history-marker-is-toast-again/m-p/9088065... . It is a huge pain but he did remind me of the step function to help in not having to reboot. I was unable to reproduce this so i've been unable to send him a file. hope this helps.. -mike

Hello,

happening to me too, build 2.0.7438, only remedy is the right click and "move history marker here" or reboot. I did not try to save and close though, in any case it is becoming pita 😉

do you have a design and a set of steps that reliably reproduces this?  This is the info we need to fix it, without that, we are just shooting in the dark, unfortunately.

When I start Fusion 365 the history marker is not visible.

Hi @Anonymous,

A few things, this thread is about the marker being missing not the design timeline itself and yours is definitely still there:
