Disable Select Through By Default?

Is there a way to have Select Through disabled by default? Whenever I change operations, going from the Solid to Sketch environments, Select Through is automatically enabled. Going back to Solid, after disabling Select Through and extruding, it's then automatically re-enabled. I disable it, attempt to perform a different operation, and Select Through is then re-enabled. I almost never use Select Through and constantly having it enabled annoys me worse than having a mosquito buzzing in my ear. What's worse is that when I go to disable it, the "Select" drop-down box doesn't open. It opens then immediately closes a couple of times when I click before opening. All of this slows down my workflow and makes working in Fusion a pain.

Just please let me have Select Through disabled by default.

I do not see this behavior.  See the screencast below.  I turn off Select Through, and it stays off going into sketch mode, after leaving sketch mode, and after extruding.  Are you seeing different behavior with this same set of operations?

Yes I still see this behavior. What I just did:

1. I tried to go into sketch

2. had to disable select through to select the face I want

3. select project

4. disable select through to project the geometry I want

5. try to project another face

6. disable select through to project the other geometry I want

7. make a sketch

8. try to extrude my sketch

9. disable select through to extrude the sketch and not the planes or faces laying below 3 other faces on the other side of the model.

Each and every time I perform and complete some operation, Select Through re-enables. I don't re-enable it. I've performed multiple operations within a single cumulative operation and each and every time I perform any operation, even ones I've performed just previously, Select Through still re-enables itself. What used to take me 5 minutes is now taking me 7 or 8 because I have to constantly disable select through and restart the operation.
