Dimensions in sketch fly away to infinity

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anything can be done to prevent this. I've been using Fusion for 4 years now, and this issue persists.

In a sketch, if I do an offset and then for some reason I need to modify some lines, Fusion creates a dimension for each line segment involved in the offset. That is all ok, but the dimensions it creates are always placed far away from the lines, resulting in a visually confusing sketch. I always have to manually drag them back, close to the lines.

It's distracting and annoying...

Anyone else with this issue and what did you do to control it??

Thanks!!

I've attached a screen recording to show the issue.

@marcelo_at_the_wheel

Thanks for reporting this issue .

Issue is reproducible with certain zoom conditions . Fo r further analysis we have logged an improvement ticket (FUS-196397).

Thanks,

Hi @sameer_babarNJS6C ,

thanks for looking into it. In the meantime, I have discovered it depends on how big the object is. If the rectangle is for example 300x300mm, it behaves fine - dimensions are created even inside the rectangle. However, if I'm doing a 3x3mm rectangle... there they go.

It doesn't seem to be zoom-dependent, as the dimensions are created in the same place, whether I'm zoomed in on the rectangle or zoomed out.

Look at this new recording: https://imgur.com/a/tBAekAv

Cheers,

Marcelo

@sameer_babarNJS6C Another annoying one is dimensioning small angles.

For example, starting with this rough sketch trying to add 1°

After adding!

Then move the dimension to a sensible place,

Now change to 0.5°, File attached.
