Design Reservation Error on Save

Started today, I get this message whenever I try and save a file:

I went to https://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=ASM-ENABLE-DESIGN-RESERVATION to try and turn it off but the Collaboration section referred to does not exist.

Just got this as well! Note the save dialog is different as well.

I did get the error to clear by closing Fusion then restarting. Likely I didn't need the save so I could close Fusion without saving the file.

Hi @alan.jonesXHXUF and others on this thread,

Thanks for bringing this to our notice.  The message you are seeing while saving a design indicates that there was some problem with one of our backend services that we use for design reservations and collaborations.  When we detect any issues with that service we allow saving designs without reservations, allowing you to move on with your work.  Rest assured, there are no side effects of this issue, your designs can still be saved and nothing is lost, except for the reservation functionality.

We will look into the reasons behind this.

Hello,

Are any of you still seeing this issue? @HughesTooling @alan.jonesXHXUF 

 

Alan, are you on a personal hub (called  "singe-user storage" in the hub switcher dropdown)? The Collaboration section described in the help documentation is only available for Team hubs.

Hello,

I also have this problem on every single save ... no matter what document or restart fusion or the computer.

I know it don't cause anything wrong, but i'm a single user, why I have to check this box every single time when I save ?
It's just annoying and time waisting

I tried to follow the Learn more tutorials but i'm not a team member so I don't know how to disable this thing ...

I haven't had the issue since, but then after logging out of the website and back in the missing option to turn it off reappeared so I did that. I'll try turning it back on and see what happens. 

 

And Yes I am in the Team and am the administrator for it.

Hi @Zoltan3D 

 

Did this problem start for you today and is it still happening?  You say you are a single user, but did you ever invite anyone to your hub before? Because that will make a difference.  We turn on collaboration and reservation if we detect more than one user on a hub.

I spoke too soon ... it happened once yesterday so I turned design reservation off again. And bizarrely, it's just happened again even though reservation is off!

@alan.jonesXHXUF 

Hi. after you turned off design reservation in Fusion Team (or the Fusion web portal), you need to restart Fusion360 for  that change to be effective in Fusion360.  If you have not done that, please restart Fusion360 and let me know if you still see that dialog on saving a file.
