Design inserted from another hub will not be linked.

I am working in a team hub.  None of my projects exist in a single storage area.  Within my project I have several sub folders in order to organise specific activities.  Within any one of these folders I have several individual components that would have been generated when using the older single storage option for a project.  When I attempt to make an assembly from components that all reside in the same folder as my new assembly, some will 'insert into current design' with the linkage that I expect, whilst others flag up the 'Design inserted from another hub will not be linked' problem.

Why is it that some components will link but ohers will not?  This is completely halting the progress of my work.

I have seen other answers to similar questions but I don't have an 'Options' folder beneath 'Neutron Platform' as suggested here:

Windows: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Neutron Platform\Options

I also do not have a file named: 'LoginState.xml'

I do have two instances of 'NMachineSpecificOptions.xml'

One instance is as follows:- 'C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Neutron Platform\Filelock\9TQJJX9R9JNE\NMachineSpecificOptions.xml'

The second instance is:- 'C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Neutron Platform\Filelock\NMachineSpecificOptions.xml'

Both of these files report zero size and are both dated and timed 08/11/2023 23:29.  That may have been the date and time of the last update as a lot of files are dated the same.
