Design files are Unworkable with Performance issues

I have a Design that overloads my system and is unworkable. However this file is not very large. I copied a component from a larger file and this design is relatively young with only a few functions in the timeline. I have designs with timelines a mile long and can still open them and perform tasks at a very fast rate. Because of this I'm wondering if performing certain functions on this design are causing the performance issues or if I should be using an alternative method other than Copy>Paste New into a new design. That being said I've also used this technique on the other very large files I've mentioned with no issues. I may be wrong but it seems when I perform a Shell function and or delete faces from a body this starts to happen where performance is compromised. Even drawing a straight line on a text will crash the system or take minutes before the system catches up.

If you allow an error to exist in your timeline, then Fusion 360 performance will be impacted.  I cleaned up your error and attached the new model for you to try.  It runs without issue on my system.

That makes sense thank you. For future reference how would I avoid that error? This error I'm assuming was because I never copied the other body associated with that combine cut over to the new drawing? (idk if you could tell but a feature was removed from the body when you took away that timeline function) That seems strange that the end result body is not a stand alone body and must be transferred with the other tools I used to get it there? Or is there a better protocol for me to use so I don't run into that problem in the future? Thanks for your time! - JD

The error in this particular model was just a duplicate operation on a non-existent feature .  You used a Delete faces command then your tried to use the Combine command on the same feature.  The fix to this was just get rid of the Combine feature in the timeline.  You also are using the wrong term, bodies cannot be copied between models, components can.  There is usually no issue with a copied component as long as you manage them correctly.  In this particular model you do not have any component grounded and there are no joints between components.  You are setting yourself up for a problem.  You can easily solve this issue by using grounded components, if you do not want to ever move them in relation to each other but I think you might want to look into As-Built Joints or maybe use Rigid Groups, there are so many ways.  See the damage I did is a couple of seconds.
