Deleting offset plane also deletes section view?

When creating the section view I selected the offset plane as the cut plane. Is this new behavior?

I don't think it's new behavior, but thinking about it some, this makes sense to me. I mean, if a section analysis is based off a plane that no longer exists, where should the analysis be looking?

Because I need the section view not the offset plane 😛

Totally makes sense to change the behaviour but if this wasn't a change it would be nice if it got fixed.

I can't say one way or another if this behavior existed before, so unless there's some certain evidence of that behavior (or numerous reports of such) it's likely to remain as-is

You do need the Construction Plane, to keep a Section View tied to it.

You can Offset the Section View to the same location, without a tied Plane,

Other than not making the Construction Plane in the first place, Nothing to fix.

Might help....
