Deep Update feature - where and what is it?

I'm seeing references to a Deep Update feature, particularly in the link below, but I'm not finding any documentation for it:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-design-validate/warning-this-design-contains-removed-compo...

How is it invoked and what's the difference between Deep Update and Get All Latest?

Thanks...Van

"Depp update" basically is enhanced, built in functionality of the "Get all latest" operation.

There's no separate command to be invoked.

Its function is to update linked component across several sub-assembly levels, instead of just the top level structure.

Thanks - as you probably guessed, the question relates to the 'Warning: This design contains Removed components which did not update' message. There was a lot of talk about years ago and then it kind of just dropped off the face of the Earth until it came up again in that thread. So there is currently no further action beyond Get All Latest that could persuade Fusion to update the Removed references automatically...thanks for clearing that up.

Nope, I actually did not guess that 😉

If I can roll back the timeline manually and update the removed features, why can the software not do that automatically?

I mean, what else would we do? It's not that we have a lot of alternatives 😉

Not to duplicate the content in this thread:

You'd think this is actually what this 'deep update' thing would do. I guess the way it was implemented  it just wasn't deep enough 🙂
