Data Panel is gray - Tried everything

I have two work PC that has data panels that won't load and only shows gray. I tried everything recommended in this section: Data Panel does not function in Autodesk Fusion.

I've also tried reinstalling visual studio, adding the 140u.dll's, and creating a new user on the account. My data panel still flashes white and gray at startup, and then shows only gray. Also, whatever is affecting my data panel is also preventing the extension window from opening. Clicking on the extension button would freeze up my fusion 360.

Everything works fine on my personal computer. I am really hoping there is a solution because I am unable to drag and drop projects into other projects.

@thanh_n4M3GV Can you check to see if the graphics drivers on this machine are up-to-date? If they are up-to-date can you remove them and install it again from the manufacturer's site?

@CGBenner Here is what I'm seeing below. When I click the extension and notification icon, they also display gray or crashes.

@RajkumarIlanchelian I've re-installed the nvidia engine for the graphic driver a few times with no success. Also, it happens on both my work laptop and work tower. The laptop uses an integrated intel graphic card.

@thanh_n4M3GV Did you get a chance to look into this documentation as well? https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/The-entire-Data-Pa...

@thanh_n4M3GV Is this happening when you extend your display to another monitor or while switching displays? Can you please share the Fusion logs for us to take a look.

@anoop.sukumaran.latha My tower has dual monitor and my laptop is using the built in monitor. What's strange is that my tower lost the data panel first so I started using my laptop for fusion 360 instead, and that started acting up too. Both had working data panel at one point. I've included the latest log I found in the folder.

Hi @thanh_n4M3GV, thanks for the attached log file, can you also please share detailed application logs from here:

  1. Go to Help (? icon)
  2. Support and Diagnostics
  3. Diagnostic Log Files

Please share the zipped logs generated.

Also from the earlier comments are you still facing issues on extension and notification options as well? If so, can you please share screenshots of these as well.

Additionally for data panel can you try executing the following text command (To open text command panel, File icon -> View -> Show Text Commands) and see if there's any effect on the data panel:

DataPanel.reload

Thanks

@anurag_naik I appreciate the step by step instruction on how to get the log files. I've attached the zip below.

Also, I tried the DataPanel.reload command and had no luck. The data panel is still gray after the command is sent.

Thanks @thanh_n4M3GV for the log files, we are checking the provided logs and confirming the cause, meanwhile, as mentioned in my previous message, are you also having issues in extension and notification options as well, if so can you please share the snapshots for these as well?

Additionally, are you able to view the ActivityFeed (COMMENTS panel at the bottom left of the drawing canvas) successfully.

Thanks

@anurag_naik I appreciate the help in troubleshooting this issue. I just tried to open the comments box and the box itself is gray with no information. I've also shared a screenshot of the notification and comments box below. I can't click on the extension button due to it freezing my Fusion 360.

Hi @thanh_n4M3GV, the application logs do point to issues in loading due to graphic driver, can you please confirm if there was any graphics driver update on your systems before this issue started happening.
Also, can you please confirm if you did try performing the 1. 'Launch Fusion 360 using a specific graphics processor' steps too in the article (https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/The-entire-Data-Pa...) that was mentioned earlier.

Also if still no success,

1. Can you please try 'Assign adcefwebbrowser.exe to use a specific graphics card' steps of the above article, but do the same steps for an exe located at: '%localappdata%\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\***\QTWebEngineProcess.exe' instead, check if data-panel and other sections are loading

2. Setting the driver api to OpenGL in Fusion from User Icon: Preferences -> 'General' Section -> Graphics Driver -> Select 'OpenGL Core Profile', and then check if data-panel and other sections are loading

Thanks.

Started encountering this bug — a blank (grey) data panel upon launch — after the latest Fusion update. However it only happens some of the time when launching Fusion, requiring a quit and reset. Other times the data panel loads normally. It seems essentially random from what I've seen so far.
