Cycle Component Color with copied components

I'm modeling a spindle assembly and would like the rotating elements in a section analysis to show up in one set of colors (say red) and the fixed components to be shaded in another (say blue).

I can right-click on a component in the browser and use Cycle Component Color to walk through all the colors one by one (if the Color Cycling toggle is on). This works even if it is a little annoying (I wish I could just pick a color directly instead of repetitively cycling through each color).

The UI bug is shown in the screencast. When I cycle the color of a component with multiple copies, the color chip in the browser changes for all of the copies, even though only the individual component is changed in the workspace. This is especially annoying as I'm trying to change the color of many components in a complex assembly and have to repetitively cycle through the dialog several times to get to the color I want. It's easier to look at the browser chip to see the color since that's where I'm right clicking to get to the Cycle Component Color action and the component is sometimes not visible in the current view.

My desire would be for all of the copies to get the same color (would save me some work) but having the color chip in the browser out of sync with the model is obviously wrong. The simplest fix is probably to change it so only the color chip of the selected component gets changed in the browser (instead of all the copies), but I'd strongly prefer if changing the color of one component changed all the copies (in the browser or in the workspace).

You say you attached a Screencast but it is not visible nor is there a link to it.  Please try again.

For some reason this forum isn't allowing me to post the screencast (complains of invalid HTML). I don't want to create a separate bug report for that, so here's the link to the screencast.

Thank you. I've no clue why the audio didn't make it through.
