CUTTING OUT PORTION OF A CONE

I have drawn a cone and wish to remove a portion of it. I tried to do it by extruding but because of the angle of the cone only a small section is removed. Any assistance appreciated .

Thank you

@dinkydi63

please describe it more precisely, I don't understand your problem.

A screencast could help a lot.

Kind regards

Hi,

Please share the file and mark the profile and the position for the cutout.

File > export > save as f3d on local drive  > attach it to the next post

Thank you for your prompt response.

I hope this is what you wanted !!
The cut out is to be in the bottom circular piece where I have partially
removed material through using extrude!!
Thanks

As I approach my 85th birthday I find everything gets more and more difficult!!!

I will give it one more try! Seemed to be putting the information in the wrong Area, sorry.

Hope this is correct! If not, I will not trouble you any more!

I am guessing that you want a through gap in the lower ring, to assist installation.

Instead of Extrude, make an over sized cutter profile, and sweep it along the conical face.  Check the timeline.

If not let me know....
