Cut from an non-planar surface

I have a round shape like this

Then I have a sketch like this as example which I want to extrude from the round surface

I don't want to extrude it the way the sketch is oriented but "along" the surface. Basically like this

Is that possible?

An export of my simplified example is attached

I have no access to the file at the moment, try the Emboss tool, see if that does what you are expecting.

If not, Split Face and the Press Pull would work, if the underlying sketch is aligned as expected.

Might help.....

I believe what you are looking for is the Emboss command.
