Custom Unit in paramter table

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hey all,

is there a way to create some other units in the parameter table?
The given units are great, but i miss some basic units made up of already given units like:
[m/s^2] general acceleration or just to define gravity

[N*m] as momentum input

It is very annoying to work with parameters when some do not have the right unit.

Thanks

Jürgen

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for posting!

Unfortunately, I don't think that can be done in Fusion at this time. However, I believe that this is something that many people would find very useful! Would you mind creating a post over on the Fusion 360 IdeaStation? I just did a quick search through there to see if it  had been brought up before, but I wasn't able to come up with anything. Smiley Sad

The IdeaStation is a great place for users to provide feedback for feature and functionality enhancements because it gives the entire community an opportunity to directly influence the development of Fusion! All posts created there are viewable by the entire community and you can vote on your favorite ideas. The more votes an idea has, the more likely that it will be implemented into Fusion at a later date.

All posts created here are reviewed by the product management team on a regular basis. These people are the ones you have to convince to get your idea implemented, as they communicate with the development team regularly about current and future development priorities.

One more quick note - when you finish creating that post, would you mind circling back here to share the link to your post? I would like to add my vote to it.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns - I'm always happy to help!

Cheers,

Mike Tessier

I second adding the ability to add custom units.  Autodesk please consider this for the next revision of Fusion 360
