Custom part numbers in Parts List table change after model update

After the Fusion 2.0.21508 release, I am finding that the custom numbers I assign in the Parts List table on my drawings revert back to a Fusion Assigned number after the drawing is opened or updated to the current model.  I am now constantly having to check and manually update the table every time a drawing is refreshed.

You can see in the image on the left, once the drawing is opened, the item number in the part list has changed to be '2' while the number in the balloon is showing as '1000' which is the custom number I assigned.  The original drawing was saved with the number '1000' appearing in both the balloon and the parts list.

It only seems to occur on the first part that was placed in the assembly that is referenced in the drawing.

It would be FANTASTIC if the item balloons could be configured to allow us to select which item in the table could be displayed in the balloon.

Drawings Parts list always point to the Item number. If I look at the above 'BEFORE UPDATE' image, for some reason the balloon '1000' is not a Item number, it's a Part number. So the 'AFTER UPDATE' result is correct. If you can share the 'Before update' file, I can take a look at how this specific balloon was created.

Thank you for your reply, and for taking the time to look into this for me.

I use the Renumber menu item in the TABLES menu to re-number the ITEM NUMBER in the Parts List table to match the PART NUMBER of the components in an assembly.  This is so my clients can quickly reference the part number in a balloon directly on a drawing rather than having a default ITEM NUMBER shown on a drawing and then having to cross reference that number in the Parts List to find the PART NUMBER of the referenced item.

It would be so handy to be able to have the ability for the user to decide what is shown in the balloons rather than just an arbitary ITEM NUMBER.  The PART NUMBERS can be referenced inside the table, why not in the balloons as well?

What is happening is, I use the renumber function to make the ITEM NUMBER match the PART NUMBER and it works the first time and everything is correct on the drawing.  When I re-open the drawing this first item in the Parts List has the item number reset to (usually 1) while the number in the balloon still shows the number I set it at using the Renumber menu item.  In the case of the image below, 1013.  If the drawing is refreshed to get the latest version of the assembly, the number in the balloon also reverts to be 1.

The changing of the number only seems to occur on the very first component that is added to the assembly.  In most cases, I am using individual part files that are combined into a separate assembly.
