I am very new to fusion 360. We manufacture insoles and use a separate design software which allows us to export the insoles into STLs.

We mill 2 types of insoles, one is just required to mill the top side of the insole and the other requires us to mill both the top side and the underside of the insole, e.g flipping the material.

On the first type of insole we would need an option to mill down to at least 1.5mm, around the outside of the insole to create the cut out. And on the other type we are going to need to have a tab option on the insoles to keep them in place.

I have been playing with the software, and looking at the trace and 2D contor option, but this needs us to have curves in the model, which i do not know how to do.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me please? If you need anymore info please let me know.
