Create Box Issues

Two problems with "Create Box"....

1) If I put user parameters into the X,Y values that get entered by creating a rectangle in the work flow, I evaluates the parameters and stores the value. It doesn't save the user parameters like it should (like it does for Z parameter and like the Rectangle primitive. As far as I know it always works this way (and is not just a sometimes thing).

2) I have an assembly and I deleted two components that had no relationship to two Create Box primitives later in the time line. The both now have an error: "The primitive profile reference is lost".  The boxes where generated with a "New Component" option so the time line has both a component create and and extrude. The error is on the extrued. If I "Edit Feature" for the extrude item in the timeline, I get the Edit Feature window with the Placement button high lighted but I don't seem to be able to select anything and the OK button is grayed out. So far seems my only recourse is to delete the box, recreate it, and rebuild its joint.
Curious about what could have cause the error in the first place, and how to get out of it without blowing away the extrude.

Let me know if you need screen shots...

Yes, we need some screen captures and the models.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Here's a box and a screen shot for the user parm's not being stored when you use Create Box.

I meant to save a copy of the other error before I just redid the extruded, but I didn't so can't show you that (just ignore - I'll come back here if it happens again).

Hi,

Note: Never write parameters completely but only the first digits. Then select from the list.

OK. I see why mine failed in yours worked. It is not how I typed in the keywords.

In your case, you pulled a rectangle, did not enter values, and hit enter. Then entered the user parameters on the window that has X, Y, and Z. That works for me as well.

What doesn't work and is apparent in the video I made, is that if you type in the X, Y values on the rectangle inputs, the keywords I selected (and they resolved as well) are NOT saved as user parameters, just as evaluated values for them.

So IMHO, this is a bug. I would say either don't let me type in values for the rectangle (this probably would be confusing to users who are used to using the Rectangle tool), or process the inputs entered on the rectangle inputs correctly (i.e. store the user parameters, not the values).
