Create a flat pattern from a loft Shell FUSION 360

Hello,

Please see attached. I have a hopper that Im trying to build and I would like to create flate pattern from the hopper topp so that I can cut it on my plasma table. Ive searched the forums and I dont see a good way to do this.

Basically Ive lofted a circle into a rectangle. There is purposely a small gap on one corner in preparation of unfolding the hopper.

Any help is appreciated.

A Loft square to round cannot be flatten using Fusion 360 sheet metal functions because it has no sheet metal features.  You will have to develop is using sheet metal features which is shown in many videos on the web.  Here is one to take a look at.

Your model violates 4 of the sheet metal rules.

Missing bends.

Bends must be cylindrical or conical.

Uniform Thickness.

Edges perpendicular to the flat.

however, we are working on a "lofted flange" capability for Fusion Sheet Metal - not yet ready for release, but definitely under way.
