crash when naming new folder

Today I made a new folder in a project while in Fusion.  When renaming, if I press return after typing the new name, Fusion instantly crashes and disappears.  Did it several times.  Was able to rename and then click out of the text box with the mouse, to rename the folder.  I am running Fusion 360 for Mac 2.0.8816 on macOS 10.15.6.

Thanks for posting this. The reason is auto-capitalization that macOS does by default in the newer OS versions. Apologies to you that we did not catch this one earlier.

It's a known issue and the fix is currently being tested for a future update. If the fix passes testing it will be released for you.

In the meantime, you can change your mac keyboard preferences to not capitalize the first word in a sentence. When the fix is released I'll follow up on this post to let you know.

This has been an issue for as long as I've used Fusion. Renaming a folder frequently doesn't work, the folder name reverts to the default 'Sketch [number]". You can rename it all day long and it still reverts. It doesn't matter if you click to rename or use F2. You have to save, quit Fusion and restart, then maybe it will take. If you're unlucky, Fusion will just crash on rename, like it just did again for me.

Hi,

I work on Fusion crashes. I'm happy to look into the crash you describe. Can you provide a report number, or I can look it up by your email address. You can PM  me with any of these details and I'll check it out.

Thanks,
