count lines and its lenght, is it possible?

example, i got two cubes. One is 2x2x2cm and the secound one ist 4x4x4cm. 

how can i get count of lines and its lenghts? is it possible to get a list?

like 
12 lines is 4cm long
12 lines is 2cm long

...

im looking for a solution to count all the lines with their lenghts in a complex 3D model

if i know the lenght i could calculate how much ink i need in my printer. The link below have a similar question and a solution but thats for 2D, not 3D versions......
