Corrupted File, most of time line lost, What Happened? What can be done to fix?

On Friday night I saved and closed a complex design I have been working on for months.  It says I am at v126.  On Saturday morning I opened the same file to continue work.  The time line stops near the end of v1 (or perhaps v2 or v3).  v125 shows the same problem.  Right now, the only way I can see to continue my work to make the small adjustments I need to make to continue, is to start from scratch (without even the previous time line to refer to for critical dimensions).

What went wrong?  Is the cloud storage and/or Fusion 360 so unstable?  Is there a solution for me to recover this important information?

you can try opening an earlier version (say, 125).  But, it could be that the timeline is just rolled back to an earlier point.  If you can share the design here, someone can take a look at it.

As stated in the original post, I did try v125, and it had the same problem.  I had also tried rolling the time line forward, using the jump to last button, but this did nothing.  I now tried rolling forward 1 step at a time.  It reveled many more steps in the time line.  But the most recent steps are still missing.

Sorry, this work is confidential and can not be shared.

I have just noticed another thing; the undo button now has a drop down list.  Is this a new feature (or have I been unobservant until now)?  Has the introduction of this feature introduced a bug in your software?

That's not a new feature. Undo has had a dropdown list for years.

So no explanation for this corruption issue!

Some additional information:  I can still edit the file.  If I don't close Fusion 360, I can go back and use the newly added time line items to perform edits.  But once I save to cloud and close Fusion 360, and then restart Fusion 360 the newly added time line is gone and the same corrupted time line is there.
