converting rotational motion to horizontal

In my model, attached below, I want the pin at the top of the lever arm to push the firing pin (I'm not a gun expert that's just  what I'm calling it for simplicity) back and forth along the X axis. However, when the lever is moved back the firing pin wont budge. As far as I can tell, proper contact sets and joints are in place. I have a feeling the issue arises from my design itself but even that I'm unsure how to change in order to achieve my goal.

This is the movement I'm trying to imitate

You are a long way from getting that to work.

Nothing Grounded.

Revolve 3, Joint has no limits.

The part with slider joint is a "Slide"

A Firing pin is inside a tube in that Slide.

The Slide has a vertical slot in the animation, yours is horizontal.

The Lever pokes through the Slide slot, when done correctly.

Disregard the rest until this bit follows the movie mechanism.

Might help...

One of the biggest uphill things you face in making this model animate is the use of Contact Sets.  Fusion 360 is notoriously weak in the functionality of Contact Sets especially intermittent ones.
