convert mesh menu item missing

I am trying the new guide to convert a mesh body into a solid body.

Followed the guide but the "Convert Mesh" menu item is not visible in the modify menu. Also tried to find in via the shortcut menu but no result.

Yes, that is the guide I followed. but I can't press the button on step 15 because the menu Item is missing.

I have just now opened the same stl in a fresh document and there the option is available. very strange.

simply exit the "Direct Mesh Editing Mode".
