Contraint not showing on sketch

Have an ongoing problem where I cannot move a line, but no constraint is showing. It happens occasionally and I have to delete the line and re-add it to allow me to move.

The attached file exhibits the problem. Edit the last sketch. On the left is a vertical line that I wish to drag the top to set the line to an angle but it won't let me. Have noticed that when I drag the top point in the vertical direction a "Ghost" of a vertical constraint is drawn, but when I release the end, and select the line the constraint is not show, so cannot delete it.

Don't know if it is a display issue or not. For now I will just delete the line and re-add it, but it would be good to know why this is happening

Just tried it on a different computer, Asus laptop vs HP Elitebook, and get the same result

If this is the last sketch, you are up against some pretty concrete sketch rules.

Black lines are constrained, you need to change the dimensions to move an end point.

White points on this line do move.

Purple Lines cannot be edited in this sketch until you Break the Link.

These rules apply on all the machines.

This can happen if you refer a directed dimension to a completely undefined line instead of to one of its end points.

Thanks for that. I read your description but did not understand your terminology, but the video helped explain. 

The way I think of it is that because I had a dimension between the lines on the 7.2 line as opposed to the points, then that implies a parallel restriction between the 2. Since the second line had a perpendicular constraint to the base line the first line was constrained as well.

I realised I have been a bit lax in selecting point/line when specifying a dimension and this highlights one of the side effects.

I was mildly surprised that the line is shown as black implying that it is fully constrained even though I can drag it to change its length.

Thanks. I'm not sure what is going on here, but I've asked the sketch QA to take a look.
