Contour flange 'thickness side' switches based on other dimensions

Hello there,

I'm currently designing a diesel tank out of sheet metal and am looking to make the overall dimensions defined by a set of parameters, so that adjusting the size will be quick, and i dont have to edit multiple parts.
My problem is that when i make the sheet metal for one side it needs to have an indent. Because of this i use the contour flange feature. However, when i change the dimensions with the parameters, the side to which the material is added swaps. I added screenshots where i change the parameter "Hakdybde" 1mm which makes it swap sides (still listed as 'side 1' if i try to edit). This occurs whenenever the longer 'leg' becomes shorter than the other (724mm total width so around 362mm).

This causes further issues when i join the sheet metal to the main body of the tank, as it now flips whenever the longer leg becomes shorther than the other one.

I tried to choose 'symmetric' in order to circumvent the issue, which fixes the side 1 issue, but it still flips the whole component when i change the parameter "Hakdybde" to above 361mm.

I am at a loss as to how i can fix this problem.
