Hi!

Is there any way to get constrained orbit with the 3D spacemouse in Fusion 360 ?

Would really make it easier to navigate!

Thank you!

Hi,

you can restrict movement in the spacemouse settings.

Thank you!

Yes, I was hoping that disabling roll would fix it, but it's doesn't for some reason. It still can mess up the horizon. It's not at all like constrained orbit with the mouse, or how the 3D mouse moves in other programs, like Rhino and Sketchup which I also have.

It's a shame, since Fusion 360 is the one I prefer out of the three, and it would really help if I could move around effortlessly like i can in the other programs.

Hi,

then please ask the manufacturer of the 3-D mouse for advice.

They should know best if and how it works.

Yes, I 'v read about it and it seems the support is added by Autodesk so the ability for the 3D mouse to work in constrained orbit mode and no in free orbit mode all the time like it is now is something only Autodesk can fix. 😞

The support for the SpaceMouse in Fusion360 was integrated by Autodesk. Please contact their Support Team to let them know that the "Lock Horizon" would be an imported feature to add.
