Confused - How to pin/fix/register sketch to existing face?

I have a sketch and a couple of extrudes.  Now I need to add a new sketch 90 degrees to one of the extrudes and ultimately revolve the sketch and have if combined with the previous extrude.

I can't make the corners of the rectangle connect with the face and edges of the upper extrude.  I have tried moving the points and doing coincident constraints or fix constraints.  I am just clueless apparently on getting the top face of the extrude and the sketch registered together.

Thanks for any help.

Project > Project Intersect,

select top face or edges - what you need in the sketch,

connect to the purple articles.

Might help...

@davebYYPCU has given you the answer but I thought it might help to put the process into a video for you.

Dave and John, thanks a bunch for the help.  That whole projection process had eluded me and you made it simple.

John, thanks for spending the time to make the video.  It is super helpful.  Hope it helps many others as well.  Now I can move on after being stumped for a few days.
