Configured Parts Show Up in Drawing Space Even When Hidden

I just finished a model that contains a configured part. When I went to create a drawing view of the full assembly minus the configured part, the configured part still shows up as "cropped" within the bounding box of the base view. When I click and drag the base view to move it, the entire configured part fully appears as I drag the view, and it returns back to its "cropped" view when I finish moving the base.

Has anyone else had this issue? I can't make it go away without deleting the configured part, which will destroy the model.

The screenshot shows how the configured part still shows up in the bounding box, even when all the components are hidden from the base view. Attached is also a video showing it as it happens.

Hey @CMCORE - I haven't been able to reproduce with a simple test. Can you share the design with me for investigation/reporting? You're welcome to share it privately via DM if you prefer.

Cheers,

Karina

Thanks for the reply! I'll send it dm.

I did a couple other tests with other configured parts, and turns out they were not having the same issue, so clearly it's something with this one in particular.

I tested inserting a second instance of that same part that's causing the issue and then deleting the original instance, and the problem goes away. Also I tried moving the history marker to directly after I inserted the problematic part to see if there was anything that I had done mid-design that could have caused the issue, but it still happens even directly after insertion. It seems that for some reason, when that particular instance was brought it, it came in with unforeseen issues. I'd be curious to see what you find!

Thanks @CMCORE ! Can you try sending the design again, and this time allow downloads? The current share has downloads turned off. I'll need to open it in Fusion in order to test.

Cheers,

Karina
