Hello,

I found an issue with configurations where it slows down fusion the more I use a certain configuration.

I have a parametric design for a kitchen cabinet and I created some configurations that alter the shape of the cabinet.

The first two shapes seem to work fine as do the configurations for the amount of drawers or for the types of doors. But when I switch back an forth between the third shape (the one with the angled top) the problems start to arise.

The first few time that I use it everything works fine but the more I change the shape back an forth the more fusion starts to slow down. It seems to get slower and slower every time I select/deselect this configuration.

Also other simple things (like opening a sketch) become a lot slower after alternating the shape configuration a couple of time.

If I save the file as a new version after it has started to be slow and then open it again, the slowness remains.

If I open the previous version (the one before where I haven't yet flipped the configurations back an forth, causing it to slow down) and save this as my latest, close it and reopen it. Then everything works again at normal speed until I start to flip between configurations again.

I've done my best to highlight the issue in the video as best as possible. I've switched between the angled shape an normal shape only once because as I mentioned every time it takes progressively longer and I didn't want to end up with a 10min video. 🙂

Hi @Chronix_07

Thank you for sharing that video - it's super helpful.

  • Can you share the design with us? If it's a single level CD (no configured inserts, aka is not a "configurable assembly") you should be able to do a regular export. If you'd like, your welcome to direct message it to me.
  • Additionally, can you try closing the design, and clearing your cache? Does that help the slowness at all?

Cheers,

Karina

Hello Karina,

I've tried clearing the cache but to no avail. I will DM the file to you.

Thx

Thanks @Chronix_07 for sending the design via DM. It looks like there are some corrupt BREP entities in your design. I sent over a text command that should help, let me know if you have trouble with it. I have logged a ticket internally to investigate the root cause: FUS-142017

Cheers,

Karina

Closing the loop on this thread, @Chronix_07 and I did some troubleshooting and he was able to discover an issue related to including a suppression of "remove" features in the table. This has been logged as FUS-142319 internally and is being investigated.
