Completed part does not insert into "current design" correctly (as it is designed)

Hello,

I am having an issue that I cannot seem to find a solution for.

I have built a part (an 8-cell battery pack) and when that part is opened by itself, or when I see it "previewed" in the left pane, it appears as it should (all 8 cells are visible); however, when I insert it into another part, it only shows a single cell. After inserting, if I expand the part assembly, all eight cells have the visible icon next to them, but they do not show in the actual part.

I built the 8-cell part by modeling out one cell and then right-click > paste new seven times to create the 8-cell pack.

Attaching images for clarification since I am not sure if I am using the correct terms.

Thank you

Paul

this is very likely your issue:  you saved the 8-cell design in a "Capture Position Pending" state, meaning that components have been moved, and their positions not captured.  Inserting into a new design will lose these temporary positions.

For a solution, open your 8-cell, and click on Capture Position - then inserting this design should do what you expect:
