combine function dont work

my combine function doesnt work on this components any suggestions why ?

when i select combine i can click on 1 component but i cant select any tool bodies

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

It looks like all you have are instances of one component. If you create another component for one end of your crankshaft and select as your target body you will then be able to select the component copies as tools.

 

Here's a simple example. The first 3 components are instances and if I select component2 I can join the bodies from all the copies of component1

yea my english is not best but i did what i think u typed and it doesnt work but i may be wrong in translation

Accepted solution

If you select the hub first then select each section of the crank it will work. Note after selecting the first section the others become invisible but do highlight when you mouse over.

Not a workflow I've used but when you think about it you can't combine bodies that are all copies of one component back into that component.

 

You might want to turn on component colours (Shift+N) so it's a bit more obvious what component's you're working with. A lot easier to see like this.
