Change my account from Student to Hobbyist

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I've currently been using the student free version of the Fusion 360, but now I'm not a student anymore. And the student license is probably at it's end. Is it a way for you to change me to a hobbyist, I've tried downloading the trial version. But I want to use the same email, so when I log in it uses the student license. So I'm not getting the 30 day trial popup where I can choose a subscription.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Lars Jordal

Hi @Anonymous,

thanks for posting! If you are no longer entitled to an educational license and want to switch to a Start-Up License, you can reach out to the Educational Support (via this form) to have your student's entitlement removed first. Fusion 360 will turn to trial mode once the removal request has been completed.

To activate the Start-Up License afterwards, follow the steps described here: How to activate Start-up, Student or Educational licensing for Fusion 360.

I hope this helps!

I am going through this right now and should know soon. I would doubt that everything comes with you, since there is a limit on how many active projects a hobbyist can have.

You will receive all projects, but you can edit a maximum of 10 at a time.
To make "read-only" designs editable, at least one of the currently editable designs must be set to "read-only" status.
