Change DXF Export Settings

Hello,

I am having trouble exporting .dxf files into Formaris from Fusion 360. I can create a .dxf file from my drawing but it will not open in Formaris. Is there a way I can edit the configuration of the .dxf file?

Thanks

Jordan

Hi,

1. What should be done with the file in "Formaris"?
2. The DXF export of a drawing contains a worksheet with views in defined scales (does not have to be 1:1).
3. DXF export of a sketch creates a file in 1:1 that can be edited in an external application.

The Fomaris Software adds notches, seems and allows us to build patterns and job lots within it. We then export this to our Lectra machine. The files need to be 1:1 scale.

Hi,

Export DXF * from the sketches.

If there is no contiguous sketch of the object, you can create it by projecting its contours into a sketch.

*Rightclick > save as DXF

Hi günther,

I created a .dxf file the way you have suggested. This file could not read into Fomaris. Is there anyway I can edit the dxf configurations?

Hi,

Fusion:

DXF Export Version : AC1014

Check compatibility and convert if necessary (e.g. online converter)

Hi günther,

Thank you for this. I have contacted Fomaris tech team for their advise on the Export version Fomaris uses.

Thanks

Hi,
I shall follow the answer.
I guess that the returm from Formaris will be DXF-AAMA...
but unfortunately, Fusion can't do that, for now... I'm expecting it also

Yes you are correct. Fusion does not allow for changes to it's DXF format and Formaris only supports AAMA or ASTM formats.
