Change direction of Plane Along Path

Hey guys,

Is there a way to change the direction of Plane Along Path - because if I copy a sketch from a plane along path going one direction and paste it on a plane going opposite... then sketch is inverted.

Please advise.

Thanks in advance,

Andro

No, inverting the direction of a plane along a path is not possible.  I question why you cannot simply rotate the copied sketch, as necessary, when you paste it to another plane?

Thanks for reply John.

Move/Rotate is what I did first, but this does not help.

I should have stated it mirrors to sketch. Apologies.

I guess I need you to attach a model showing your problem situation.  Text should be the most problem but as you can see in the Screencast, it is not an issue.  If you do not know how to attach your model, open it in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save to your local drive.  Then use the Attachments section in a forum post to attach it.

Hi John,

I am actually laughing a bit here - I came up with exactly the same work around as you just suggested.

I enabled "3D Sketch", then rotated on two axis. Just had to think in 3D for 2D sketching.

Thanks for all your help, effort and professionalism.

Hi John,

That is a good solution for the stated problem.

Here I have another question related to the topi:

I am generating a 3D spline and depending on how I sketched the spline (order of sketching each points) the direction of the plane on path comand changes, following the direction from the first point sketched until the last one.

Now, If the 3D spline is generated with the comand "intersection curve" which takes  2D lines and combines them into a 3D spline the direction starts doing some unpredictable things

there must be still a relation in between the order of the sketched points (sontrol points) But I cant really undestand it.
