Cant seem to draw a line of 0.75mm

I'm trying to draw a line of 0.75mm (so when the shape is revolved it will be 1.5mm), however F360 is snapping to 0.7 or 0.8mm.

I've tried everything and can't seem to find a solution.

Thnaks

@stevekennedyuk
Fortunately this is any easy one. (As easy as anything gets in CAD.)

I would turn off snap to grid and use parametric dimensions instead.

As mentioned by @g-andresen

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

It sounds like you might need to turn off snapping, and use the in-command dimension to specify the length;

Even if I type .75mm it turns it to 0.8mm and when scaled up the dimensions disappear off screen

@stevekennedyuk

Your screenshot does not show any dimensions?

Never mind - I found it.

What do you have General Precision set to in Preferences?

@stevekennedyuk

I am going to recommend that you take about 10 steps back and start over.

Create a new file.

1. Sketch one (and only one) line at a time anchored with one end at the Origin.

2. Immediately dimension the line.

3. What do you observe about the color of the line after dimensioning?

Now, repeat 1-3 for next line connected to either origin or previous line.

Now, repeat 1-3 for next line.

If at any time you see white dots or blue lines (or arcs) on your screen after dimensioning - STOP- and ask questions here before proceeding.

And make sure that you have Show Constraints enabled (as well as Dimensions).

I'm on a Mac. Even if I type 0.75mm it does a line of 0.8mm, I tried turning precision to 0.12 (was at 0.1)

1. Your image is showing the wrong preferences. (You are showing Drawing rather than Design Preferences.)

2. You did not Attach new file here.

That worked, even though it's showing 0.8mm it's measured at 0.75mm

Next problem, add a thread to the cylinder and it's showing in Fusion but doesn't seem to be exported to STL

Hi,

1. enable "modeled"

modeled_.png

2. If you have set the number of decimal places correctly in the preferences, the display will also be correct.

3. It is not clear from your post which reply it refers to.
Please answer directly to replies and not via the quick reply.
This way you answer yourself.
