Cannot Press/Pull a certain area of a sketch that had been modified

Hey everyone,

Below is a pic of a design I have been working on. I started it as a new sketch in an existing tab. I had originally been able to use Press/Pull in these areas but after hours of head ache and mess ups and modifications it will no longer allow me to press pull and these are the errors I get. I have tried to hide and show things I am just not sure what to do for this portion. I appreciate everyone's help.

I am attempting to put those areas at different heights, This is my end result but I had made the flower walls too thin for printing, so I went back and changed them.

Thank you again in advance, this has happened to me befor from attempting to modify sketches that have already had a body on them previously.

Please attach your model so the Forum users can take a look at it.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.

Here is the sketch I deleted the bodies cause it looked like some overlapped, my goal is to get the inside of the flower to a certain height but what happens is it stops me with an error even trying to do the outline, sorry things are so sloppy I am a beginner.

Attached is the your model with the flower extruded to two levels.  If I misunderstood your desires, please let me know.  The Screencast will show what I did.

By the way, do not use the Quick Reply icon on the Forum post as that will cause your response to address back to you.  Use the Reply icon on the Forum poster you are responding directly to.

See what's happening when I try , even on the one you sent back, I am trying to get the petals and inside of the stem to 30.5, the outline is at 31.7. the error happens when it is higher up and will not allow me to complete it due to that  error, is there a reason or something I messed up? I have made many of these molds before but sometimes do run into this issue.

The distances you are Extruding these profiles is pretty large.  In that distance some sketch errors will materialize if they are not perfect.  I determined the one petal that is giving the problem and fixed the sketch with a very small offset.  This will allow it to join with the other bodies.  Screencast is from another computer so the sound is not as good as my first, using a built in microphone.  Model is attached.

Thank you again, I really appreciate the help. This one was giving me a headache after a night of making the model worse. I am trying to learn a new thing about Fusion every day, any tips or tricks to avoid this in the future?

The error message, you were getting, was actually quite helpful in determining the issue which is rarely the case with Fusion 360.  As your Extrusion height grew larger, over my 3 and 2mm, the sketch error emphasized on that particular pedal.  It was not quite overlapping the flower outline extrusion to be able to join and that is what the error message says.  The ability to take the error backwards and determine the source is the hard part of learning Fusion 360.  You first suspect the Extrude process but you have to sometimes learn to go back in the timeline and look for other clues, this one was the profile sketch.

I will offer you two things that will really aid your learning:

  1. Even when you are doodling, do not ignore any Yellow or Red highlighted errors in your timeline.  You have a few in this one.  Solve them as they appear, they are usually easier then and will teach you quickly how to avoid other errors.
  2. Always model in relation to the model Origin.  Even when you have multiple bodies or components, this should be your goal.  If other bodies or components get in your way, just make them invisible temporarily.  A quick way of doing this is the use the Isolate command and then the Unisolate command to bring them back.

Good luck in your learning and come back to the forum before getting frustrated, there are a lot of knowledgeable users here.
