Cannot open Fusion

I cannot open Fusion . I get the notification -

You can’t open the application “Autodesk Fusion 360” because it may be damaged or incomplete.

Autodesk advises me to

To avoid this issue reset / reinstall Fusion using the Service Utility.

I have not completed the reset/reinstall because there are statements about cache or file losses

that worry me.

I would be grateful for your assistance.

@pkw6X2K4 Can you go to Launch pad - Run Fusion service utility - gather system info - attach the Fusiondiagnostics.zip file that gets generated?

@pkw6X2K4 Sorry still not seeing the attachment. In the zip file if you go into Autodesk Fusion 360 folder, you will see a unique folder name. If you go into that an under W folder, see if you have a Q folder and in that Q folder are there any files in there ?

Hello,

Two Zip files were created.

1. MacOS Diagnostic Logs
This does not contain anything you have described.

2. Fusion Diagnostic Logs
This contains -

Neutron Platform folder > QWQKPK2F3MEN folder > Crash recovery and W. Login Folders

The last two folders do not contain anything.

OR

Neutron Platform folder > Options folder > QWQKPK2F3MEN folder > NGlobalOptions.xml
and OptionsStatus.xml

I hope this helps

Thanks pkw

@pkw6X2K4 Thank you,. You are good to go ahead and do a repair.

1. Close Fusion (and also delete the Fusion shortcut)
2. make sure Fusion is not running in activity monitor
3. Go to launch pad - Run Fusion service utility
4. Run the repair Fusion

This should address the issue for you.
