Unfortunately my computer shut down last night so I have to log back into Fusion. Now Fusion wants to open the web browser? Log in via web browser and it says "You are logged in" click "Go to Product", which brings me to a screen that says:

Opening product

We've redirected you to your desktop product.
Product didn't open? Retry

If I click retry, I repeat the process.

If I go back to Fusion it says Check your Browser, restart Login. If I click restart Login, it takes me back to the beginning.

What am I supposed to do here?

@M&GToolWorks The punch out to browser/login is a new experience as part of the April update. Now looping back and forth is certainly not part of the experience :).

1. What is your default browser?
2. When you click on Go to product, do you get a message from the browser to something like "Do you want to allow this page to open Autodesk Identity manager"

My default browser is Chrome, but whatever the microsoft program is now pops up. Trying this on a different computer the pop up opens that asks "Do you want to allow this page to open Autodesk Identity manager" which I don't have, is this something Autodesk installs in the background?

I am guessing on my computer in the shop, popups are blocked which is preventing this.

Can I ask, because I am not a computer person, this seems like a very stupid way to log in, especially since I will not be able to use Fusion without a internet connection now, why/how was this arrangement reached?

@M&GToolWorks

"I will not be able to use Fusion without a internet connection now"

Nothing changes using Fusion 360 in the offline mode. In the previous
experience, you logged in and the cache was maintained for 14 days. This did allow you to use Fusion 360 in the offline mode for 14 days without connecting back to the internet. With this new approach, it is still the same experience (you login one using internet and it is cached) but we now allow you for 30 days. In the previous approach too you needed the network for your FIRST login.

"this seems like a very stupid way to log in"

This way to login opens up various opportunities that our customers have been asking for a very long time. Enterprise customers can now use their company single sign on. ANY customer can now use their password manager to sign in (no need to keep entering the user ID password per the previous
experience) and there are few other experience improvements.

We understand that it takes a while to get used to the different experience but we hope you will find the full advantage as you keep using the product and you will not have to sing in as often as you did before.

How do I log in without an internet connection?

Fusion requires me to login every time the computer restarts.

@M&GToolWorks you cannot login without an internet connection and it was never allowed that way.

1. You login using internet connection
2. The next time you login you do not need to login
3. You go offline
4. The cache logs you in even when you do not have internet connection (30 days cache versus the previous 14 days)

So previously when I started Fusion and entered my user name and password this was just a waste of time? Seems odd that Fusion would intentionally do that, but I'm not surprised anymore.

@M&GToolWorks Are you saying that you had to login ever single time you launched Fusion?

Whenever the computer restarted, I would need to log into Fusion. I logged in regardless of internet connection.

@M&GToolWorks You should not need to login unless:

1. Your workflow is to logout of Fusion every time you close Fusion
2. You have other other Autodesk products and use single sign on (and log out on other Autodesk applications)
3. Without internet we keep your cache for 14 days and hence will not need to log in again

If this was not your experience then certainly need to investigate why you are asked to login every time.

With the new experience can you give a couple of days to see if you are still seeing the need to login every single time you restart your machine?

I'm having the same problem when I log into AUtocad 2025 as an administrator.

Once I sign in online, it's not returning me to the product.

Did you find a solution?

@125200708

Can you please try the below?

  1. Close Fusion
  2. Go to  C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Identity Services\idservices.db

Can you delete the idervices.db file and then restart Fusion?

@kiqanedo There could be multiple reason for this. Can you please let us know if you are on windows or Mac? Are you able to get to the sign in page in Fusion? Is the hang happening after the sign in? Can you give us some more details?

Hello @kostanevica9,

Can you please try the below solution and let us know it worked?

  1. Close Fusion
  2. Go to Finder - Go - Go to folder - type this exactly -  ~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Identity Services
  3. Delete the file idservices.db
  4. Start Fusion
