Apologies -- learning anew. So, well, what am I doing wrong -- why can't I close this ellipse? I'd like to lock it to the bigger circle. (Ultimately, I'm trying to cut a U shape out of the bigger circle. I U shaped rod will slip up into the disk.)

(I'm having trouble posting this.  Why doesn't anything work?  My inserted screencast won't "stick", and the system keeps telling me there's invalid html and it has changed my post... but nothing has chang... and the system still won't accept / "stick"...)

Hi,

1. delete one dimension > Screencast

2. Although the linked thread says that the problem is solved, the definitely not true. Please post the problem in the appropriate forum as well.

4 dimensions are needed to fully constrain an ellipse:

  1. major diameter of the ellipse
  2. minor diameter of the ellipse
  3. horizontal distance of center from a fixed point
  4. vertical distance of center from a fixed point
