Cannot get these to loft - do not understand why

I'm making a 3D logo where the letters are meant to appear to jump out of the backing. The dbo letters that won't loft. I think I understand why they won't loft - fusion doesn't understand how to handle the hole in the lofted body. But I don't get WHY they won't loft. I've made rails in a previous file, even point on each profile and made a plane that ran specifically through those points. It had the gall to say the rails weren't touching the profiles. I constantly have this problem with lofts - I would really like to learn some tricks to make them work. I only retried the letter b in this model - I felt it redundant to do the other letters. Can anyone help me?

The dbo letters that won't loft.

Correct, never will, as presented.

You have to edit the svg sketch and divide the holes with a crossing line.

Use an Offset Plane and Split Face of the same relative letter in the appropriate location to divide the face of the lower letter.

Each of those letters will now loft with 2 Lofts per letter.

I think the rail error is not specifically correct.

You were on the right track with the top sketch, and Project > Intersect.

The Bottom letter was not dividing the hole, and your lower rail likely worked, but the top rail was connecting to the "wrong" outline, if you get what I mean.

Either way Loft will not do hollow profiles so that rail sketch was headed down a rabbit hole.

The other way to have managed this model would be to patch a copy of the lower text letter with the holes, and Loft the full outlines as solid loft and then to Loft cut the holes.

Seeing you were in the process of cutting I went that way.
