Cannot get drawing to extrude properly

I can select what i want to extrude and it shows the selection correctly but when I extrude it selects more of the drawing and does not extrude correctly. Can anyone help with this please.  Thanks

Selection for extrusion shows properly but once extruded it extrudes more of the drawing than the selection.

This is a strange one.  There is still at error showing in the timeline but it has been extruded to a thickness of .25.  I did it in sections and combined the sections. Model attached.
