Cannot delete corrupted file

Anonymous
Not applicable

Fusion crashes a lot on Big Sur with a 2019 Mac Pro. I have a file that got corrupted and is always listed as "in use" that cannot be deleted in either Fusion or by the web server. A reboot of my computer did not help. A uninstall and reinstall of Fusion did not help. The various methods recommended on a Google search did not help. Since this is the free hobbyist version, I cannot get support. Any suggestions?

Hey islandCJTW8,

Have you tried emptying your local cache? This usually solves problems like the one you're experiencing.

That didn't work but creating a new folder, moving the file to that folder and then deleting the folder worked.

Take a look at this blog article and video, I think it will allow you to delete your file.
