Cannot create PDF from drawing

Hello,

I'm using Fusion 360 educational license in the browser-based version (in Firefox). I am currently not able to create a PDF file from a drawing. I tried two different ways:
(1) via the export menu --> I can go through the complete process (select destination folder etc.), however no file is created in the selected location (there is no error message); it is notable, that it is not possible to select local folders as target destination -- only the (online) Fusion 360 folders.
(2) via the "print" menu --> apparently a PDF file is created on the (simulated) PC, as I can see the file when I run the print command again. However I did not find a way to access/open that file.

Update / additional information: when I browse the project files in the Autodesk "hub", I can request the export to a PDF file (for which I then get a download link via email). This works (but is not really convenient/efficient workflow).

The browser version of Fusion is running on a virtual PC so has no access to your drives and you have no way to copy from the virtual PC's drive. So the only way to get data to and from the browser version is through your Hub, as you've found.

Hello Hughes,

thanks for the info. That answers the part of the question why I can't select the local folders for export. Do you have any idea why the PDF export itself is not working (except for from the hub)? Normally it should create a PDF in the selected target folders (as it does with the 3d models, drawings, etc.).

Are you talking about Export PDF from a drawing to a folder on your HUB? I noticed this doesn't seem to be working as well. @ClintBrown3D is normally the person to ask about problems in the drawings workspace.

Hi @christian_lehmann8DBCU

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I'll ask the team to take a look at this for you.

THE GOOD NEWS 🙂 - I have a workflow that should enable you to create a PDF. Please have a look at this video:
